Finding a solution manual can be a daunting task because your homework would so much easier if only you could find that solution manual.  I had spent years struggling with homework having no way to find the solution, so I had no clue if my answer was correct.  After many years of struggling, I became a self proclaimed expert on getting solution manuals. 

The following methods are almost guaranteed to get you the solutions you need for any common textbook. 

1. BUYING THE ORIGINAL SOLUTIONS MANUAL
• Before the school term starts, the easiest way to prepare is to search Ebay.com and Half.com for the solution manual for your book.  Use terms: “ [author] solution”, “ [title] solution”
2. SEARCH TORRENT WEBSITES
• Visit PirateBay.org, isoHunt.com, or similar Bit Torrent search engines to search for the solution manual.  Very popular textbooks will be available via torrents, but it can be very hit or miss.
3. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND
• When it is late at night and you need a solution “Right NOW”, use Google to save the day.  The trick to search for a solution is to use quotations. 

EXAMPLE:  

To find this solution I would go to google and type:    “Water at” “exits to the standard” “split nozzle” “Duct Areas”

When you are a student taking advanced courses, solution manuals can be a life saver.  Solution Manuals are not meant to be means of cheating, but rather a means to see if you have solved a problem correctly and maybe how you could have solved the problem differently.  As a former engineering student, there were many times that if I did not have a solutions manual, then I could have done an entire assignment wrong while thinking that I was correct.  By the time you receive a failed assignment back it would require too much work to have to redo the assignment in order to learn the proper way.  Not only that, a failing grade would be given on an assignment in which a large amount of effort was put forward.   Studying for a test with a solution manual in hand was probably the most helpful means of studying.  Many times Professor’s would post solutions online for the homework assignments, but rarely are those few homework solutions enough to fully practice the subject matter.  There is no substitute for a solution manuals and that is why most professors post homework solutions and even previous exam solutions.  I found that having previous exam solutions along with homework solutions offered an extreme advantage over other students without them.  It is unfair that many people don’t have access to the solutions, so that is why I have created this website to make it easier for the average Joe to have the same advantage as everyone else.
